Report

Report:Wakey are riding high on confidence at the moment after a great Yorkshire Closed weekend finishing up with the Men’s B, Over 40’s, Over 50’s winners and Men’s B and Over 40’s plate winners. Also the 2nd team defeated Ponte 4-1 on Wednesday.

PC as ever the first on, third to go, misses washing the dishes. He also missed a few volley opportunities but luckily he played everything else well and won comfortably 3-0.

Del Boy aka ‘Scooby-Doo’ has finally been found out that he has been masterminding a sting operation changing mine and Brigg’s ranking points and falsely increasing his ranking to make himself no.1. This has now been corrected and normal service should continue in future. Unfortunately for Wakey this meant he lost 1-3 with both players complaining about the marking which to me means at least he was consistent!

Bob aka ‘Scrabby-Doo’ has turned a corner and is now finding his winning touch! Just in time as we have 2 big fixtures coming up. Rob tried hard and ran everything down but 3 weeks in the US finally took its toll.

Mr T feeling a bit bummed. Started positively as he walked into the changing room declaring he was “going to give Mark IT!” I thought great Mr T is up for this one. However after going 2 down I discovered what he meant was he was going to give Mark his cold. He did turn it round for one game but finally lost 1-3 to the birthday boy. (For all concerned Mr T has recovered from his injury of a twisted sock)*

Big hitters left!

El Capitano defeated last time out but carrying good form from the weekends action controlled the game and managed to win the 2nd when Grayson through everything at it!
Finished the evening off nice an early for a cheeky Chinese! And good banter with the Rothwell boys and just turned vet!

2 big fixtures with little turnaround times playing Chapel A Friday then Hull Thursday. Come on Wakey! Away games so no write ups. (Mr T is happy)
