Report

Report:It’s a funny old game!

Del Boy and the Artist pulled out on Tuesday. DB was playing the slot machines and bruised his thigh carrying all the loose change, the Artist slipped on court which I find hard to believe as he is rarely on court in between matches.

Late stand in PC was evenly matched and had a good game with Andy who in the end played a more steady game. PC as always left first without washing up!

Spiros aka ‘Tin tin’ won the warm up and had James hoping to secure a few points so was very pleased to be 2-0 up after the tin took a pounding from TT. Left without paying!

Mr T also looked the favourite for this one but carrying an injury* was unable to produce his power shot however he did nearly kneecap poor Boz but this did not seem to faze him as he eventually proved to strong.

We had now lost the match but the night still had more squash and twists and turns left in it!

Bob aka ‘2-3’ Definitely looked second best in this one as young Ben displayed great speed, power and accuracy to win the first 11-2. Bob came off muttering something about getting blitz. However never count this guy down he changed the pace of the game and Ben did not react quickly enough. Bob did admit in the fourth 9-7 up he did experience squeaky bum time don’t go to 5!

So ring the bells and stone the crows Bob has won a match! Left after his pie smiling like a Cheshire cat.**

El Capitano still licking my wounds from last weeks defeat felt the same would happen tonight as everything Dave hit seemed to be a winner but as the game went on the errors crept in and back to how a match should finish in the fifth two points difference ‘Classic’

* Mr T’s injuries are legendary so could not type the exact injury and cause!
** Not sure that any of these are phrases but its late!
