| Report: | With the absence of a couple of heavyweights through holiday and injury, Beverley's first team were up against it tonight! First on court were the 2nd seeds and this proved to be the game of the night, a 5-setter that went right to the wire! Knowing each others game well Paul started the stronger taking the first two games, but Pete dug in and pulled two back. The deciding game was epic, a real battle that could have gone either way, but Paul just nicked it for the second team. Up next were the 3 seeds where the in-form John Cook dominated from the outset and proved too strong for Phil over three games. Equally, Zac at No1 was clinical and cruised to victory. An upset in the Beverley camp with the second team over-coming the first team! Other 'friendly' matches were played tonight involving other team players and the night ended with most enjoying curry and beers at a local restaurant - A very good night of Racket ball. |
