| Report: | A good win for Beverley 1 this evening. The strength for the away team was at seed 1 which proved to be a good battle early on in the match. With similar styles of play some long 'driving' rallies ensued, but Pete proved too strong for John in the end. Two new 'keen' players visiting Beverley for the first time at seeds 2 & 3 who worked hard on court against two stronger players. The games played out in good spirits, enjoyed by all. Post match supper (Dominos Pizza) and drinks were taken at a local pub - we are grateful to the Stillington players for travelling distance to play this fixture. |
