| Report: | The number 2 seeds started and finished the night on court with an entertaining 5-setter. The games went either way through the match but Iain was consistent and proved too strong for Tim in the end with a convincing victory in the 5th to take the match. Concurrently on the other court Phil made short work of his match, proving to be too strong at number 1 for Dave from the outset winning swiftly in straight games. The number 3 seeds were better matched with some good rallies and recovery shots on show throughout. The end result looks convincing but Joe was unlucky not to take a game on the night. The evening ended with Domino's pizza and chips in the clubhouse. |
