| Report: | The order of play this evening was 2, 1, 3 and the match finished early with the use of two courts. The first two rallies of the first game of the evening caught everybody's attention on the balcony, long and very competitive, we thought that we were in for a long night! But as the game went on, Ian found his way (and a few nicks!) to controlling that game and the next two. With the 1 seeds Ben found himself up against Beverley's club champion who eased his way to victory. It was a good battle with the 3 seeds with some long rallies and some very good recovery shots, but Pete's control of the tee and his consistency in driving the ball at pace was enough to win the match. A good win for Beverley against Wigginton. The night ended with pizza and drinks in the clubhouse. |
